To check your digital probe thermometer accuracy at zero degrees, fill a thermos with crushed ice, then add just enough water to come to the top of the ice. Insert your probe, stir for a couple of minutes or until the temperature inside the flask stabilises. Make your reading. Be sure that the water used is pure; either reverse osmosis or distilled water. Dissolved salts will affect the freezing temperature. |
